This is FIGURATIVE by the way so zero freaking outI saw how sad the world was, how sad love really is. So many people put their faith in it, hold stock in things such as “forever”. Most ask for their happily ever afters, some receive but the rest still search. Well, my happily ever after had “happ” in the middle with “what” and “ened” on either side. But the truth is? Love is never happy, it is never ever after. Love is agonizing, love makes us cry more than actual pain, more than joy, more than sorrow. Love is irrational, it is changeable, but more importantly it is irrevocable.
I met a dying man once. He told me that once you give love away it can never be returned. Now I know what he meant. It takes a piece of you, steals it from your flesh, your soul, your sanity, until you finally take a knife to your heart.
That’s what happened to me today.
